Scars of the Mind

Sculpture

2025

Bronze

10 x 5 x 14

In this work, I explore the invisible traces left by life’s challenges and emotional wounds through the enduring medium of bronze. The work presents a box as a metaphor for the human mind. Its surface is covered in scratches, imprints of fists, and marks of clawing, evoking internal battles and the scars carried through hardship.

Within the textured surface, a concave form of a fading face emerges, inviting a moment of reflection: the confrontation with oneself after enduring pain, and the redefinition of one’s being.

This piece is a meditation on the memory of wounds on the bruises that, though they may have healed, continue to cast their shadow over the landscape of the mind.
