This was a public performance, a space where I wanted an interaction to occur between the artist and the audience. What interested me here was observing how people reacted when I, as a woman, opened the door for them.

Typically, it is men who perform this gesture, but in this context, as a young woman, this simple act can provoke questions and reflections in the minds of others about social norms, gender roles, and expectations.
